Title: IBM Datastage and PL/SQL Engineer
Location: Portland
Duration: 18 Month Contract

As an essential part of supporting Epic Clarity and the clients Healthcare Data Warehouse, this position is responsible for advanced ETL Development and support utilizing IBM DataStage, Microsoft SSIS and Oracle PL/SQL as required. (Primary use will be IBM Datastage and Oracle PL/SQL) These processes are used in support of healthcare financial, clinical and shared services customers. ETL design and development that delivers information effectively to and from our data warehouse structures while following the SDLC process are hallmarks of this position. The ideal candidate will possess expert:level ETL experience. Candidates who possess healthcare data knowledge, especially data derived from Epic Systems medical record, is strongly preferred. Finally, the candidate shall be able to effectively read as well as author SQL at an advanced level.
Data will be sourced from Epics Clarity Operational Data store as well as various external databases and third:party data files. This work ensures that the information assets of the client enterprise are leveraged to enhance financial, clinical, and operational decision:making, therefore ensuring competitive business advantages. This position is responsible for partnering with BI business analysts, database administrators, and end:user layer Business Intelligence developers in implementing solutions delivered to Oracle and SQL Server. These solutions allow users to appropriately generate timely, accurate and comprehensive information for managing our business.
This position is also responsible for detailed technical analysis to assure the availability and accuracy of data processed by the ETL or contained in the supported data warehouse and systems.
The Incumbent will observe due care, objectivity and respect for confidentiality. In exercising their duties, ITG employees must follow our clients security directives, incorporating security measures in the delivery of their everyday tasks, and are required to report security concerns to the ITG Security Engineering team.

DataWarehouse, ETL and Systems Development:
Contributes to the support and growth of the Data Warehouse by designing, developing and implementing ETL processes, data structures, and SQL code.
Work with BI architects, developers, analysts and users to design, create and publish ETL processes and ETL metadata using PL/SQL, SSIS, and DataStage ETL processes as required.
Provide complete and consistent documentation of data warehouse content and ensure that users can determine what data is available in the warehouse, how this data is defined, how key metrics are defined and analysis is performed.
Use the knowledge gained by working with the ETL team and through prior experience to analyze healthcare data in order to meet reporting requirements.
Deliver additional ETL tools and/or data warehouse systems/products to improve the use of business data in the decision making process.
Facilitate customer requests for new or changed solutions.
Develops options with recommendation, creates functional specifications including performance requirements, creates test plans to confirm delivered functionality.
